Mumbai: Before the Mumbai Indians first home game of IPL 2024, images of Rohit Sharma’s posters and banners being discarded outside the Wankhede Stadium have surfaced on social media. In a widely circulated video, fans can be observed leaving their posters and placards outside the venue before entering the stadium, with individuals on social media platforms alleging that they are prohibited from carrying their messages inside the stadium.

This incident occurred shortly after reports surfaced claiming that individuals booing Hardik Pandya would be removed from the stadium, although, a source close to the Mumbai Cricket Association has refuted these claims.

Fans have shared videos of themselves leaving behind placards, leading to widespread coverage by national media outlets, including India Today. However, the veracity of the incident remains unconfirmed, as Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) officials haven’t responded to the matter yet. Fans had raised slogans against Hardik Pandya and in favour of Rohit Sharma during the match held yesterday.
