Ahmedabad: Australian Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles is set to witness the World Cup final alongside Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the stadium in Ahmedabad. The Gujarat Chief Minister’s office has confirmed his visit for the highly anticipated match between India and Australia scheduled for tomorrow.
The stadium has planned a series of events to enhance the World Cup final experience. Surya Kiran aerobatic team, of Air Force, is scheduled to deliver an amazing performance in the sky ten minutes before the commencement of the match. Following this, there will be a musical performance by renowned music director Pritam with a dance performance in the background featuring over 500 performers.
During halftime ( after first innings), the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will honour the captains of all the teams that have secured World Cup in the past. This list includes cricket legends Kapil Dev and Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who led the Indian team to triumph in 1983 and 2011, respectively.
