New Delhi: Former Indian cricket captain and Delhi Capitals director Sourav Ganguly has revealed that star player Rishabh Pant will soon make his comeback to the field. Ganguly confirmed that Pant has successfully completed his fitness tests at the National Cricket Academy, and the academy is set to declare him ‘fit to play’ on March 5th. Ganguly serves as the director of the Delhi Capitals team, where Pant holds the captaincy.

Sourav Ganguly said that Rishab Pant will be declared fit to play on March 5th. He said that Rishabh is a promising player. The priority is to reintegrate him into the game swiftly. He said that the captaincy considerations can be addressed later. He also said that further decisions will be made after the season commences.

Pant, who suffered a severe injury in a car accident back in December 2022, has undergone treatment during his recovery period. Following his recuperation, the talented player dedicated himself to rigorous training at the National Academy. Speculations had been rife regarding Pant’s return to the cricket arena, particularly for the upcoming IPL season.
