Apple enthusiasts, try to curb your anticipation as the wait for the highly awaited iPhone 15 series comes to a near end. As per media reports, the much-anticipated launch event for the Apple iPhone 15 series is rumoured to occur on either September 12 or September 13 of this year. If these reports hold true, pre-orders for the new iPhones are expected to commence on September 15, with the Apple iPhone 15 series likely hitting the market for sale on September 22. Following Apple’s customary pattern, media invitations for the event are likely to be dispatched around a week before the event date.

Alongside the unveiling of the iPhone 15 line-up, the September event is poised to introduce refreshed versions of the Apple Watch, including the Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 models. Furthermore, the event is anticipated to reveal final details and launch dates for iOS 17 and other related operating system updates. Enthusiasm and excitement are growing among Apple aficionados worldwide as they await the official revelation of the latest breakthroughs from the tech giant.

This year, Apple is poised to introduce four new smart phones in the iPhone 15 series the iPhone 15, the iPhone 15 Plus, the iPhone 15 Pro, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max. However, the iPhone 15 Pro models may come with a higher price tag compared to their current counterparts.

According to analysts, conversations with supply chain companies in Asia suggest that Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro models will bear a higher price than the existing models. Rumours speculates that the iPhone 15 Pro could be priced up to $100 higher than the iPhone 14 Pro, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max might carry a price premium of $100 to $200 compared to the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

The standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are anticipated to maintain their price points at $799 and $899, respectively. Meanwhile, the iPhone 15 Pro is expected to be priced at a maximum of $1,099 (up from $999), and the larger iPhone 15 Pro Max could reach up to $1,299 (up from $1,099).

Rumours have surfaced regarding the incorporation of stacked CMOS image sensors in the upcoming iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models, while the Pro models may not adopt this technology. Although this innovation aims to enhance camera performance, Apple has not yet provided official confirmation.

Well-known Apple info tipster Ming-Chi Kuo suggests that the iPhone 16 Pro models, slated for release in the second half of 2024, will embrace the same technology. This move could potentially strain Sony’s high-end CIS capacity.

Past reports have hinted that the standard iPhone 15 models might feature the advanced 48MP Sony IMX803 image sensor, a substantial upgrade from the current 12MP camera.

In terms of features, rumours point to the iPhone 15 Pro Max boasting an upgraded telephoto lens with periscope technology, enabling enhanced zoom capabilities of up to 5–6x without compromising image quality, compared to the 3x zoom found in the iPhone 14 Pro models. The Pro models are speculated to introduce several new enhancements, including a USB-C port, titanium frame, customizable action button, a swifter A17 Bionic chip, sleeker display bezels, Wi-Fi 6E support, augmented RAM, and an improved Ultra Wideband chip.
