Initially introduced in China in October 2023, the Xiaomi 14 series introduces the innovative HyperOS user interface, promising a significant advancement in user experience. The global launch aims to demonstrate the company’s technological prowess on an international stage.
Speculations surrounding the Xiaomi 14 Ultra suggest a 6.7-inch 2K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Security features may include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor for enhanced data protection. Photography enthusiasts can anticipate a top-notch experience with the Xiaomi 14 Ultra’s quad rear camera setup, led by a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-900 primary sensor. The device is equipped with a 5,180mAh battery, supporting 90W wired and 50W wireless charging, catering to users’ needs for speed and convenience.
Meanwhile, the global variants of the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro are expected to align closely with their Chinese counterparts in terms of specifications. For example, the Xiaomi 14 Pro boasts a 6.73-inch 2K LTPO display, is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, and offers up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM along with up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The Pro model features a formidable Leica-branded triple rear camera setup, including a 50MP primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 50MP telephoto shooter, and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The front camera houses a 32 MP sensor.
