Mumbai: Actor Rhea Chakraborty was granted bail on Wednesday by the Bombay High Court in drugs case being investigated by the Narcotics Control Bureau. However, her brother Showik’s bail plea was rejected by the HC.

The Bombay High Court also granted bail to Samuel Miranda, house manager of the late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput and Dipesh Samant, Rajput’s personal staff.

At the same time, the HC has set certain conditions for Rhea Chakraborty’s bail. She has to deposit her passport, mark presence for 10 days at the police station after release, cannot travel abroad, furnish bail bond of Rs 1 lakh and cannot meet any other witness.

Rhea Chakraborty was arrested on September 8 by the Narcotics Control Bureau on charges of organizing drugs for late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

In her bail petition, Rhea Chakraborty had said that she and her brother were sole targets of a witch-hunt by multiple agencies who had found no evidence incriminating her in the case.

The bail pleas of Dipesh Sawant and Samuel Miranda have been allowed on furnishing of PR bond of Rs.50,000/- each, the HC noted. Their passports have also been confiscated.
