After much anticipation, the makers of Dulquer Salmaan’s upcoming film, ‘King of Kotha’, finally unveiled the teaser on June 28. The teaser left fans mesmerised with its stunning visuals and provided a glimpse of Dulquer’s rugged and intense appearance, with a thrilling background score composed by Jakes Bejoy.
The teaser has already garnered attention, taking in more than 7 million views in the last 22 hours. ‘King of Kotha’ is set to hit theatres on the occasion of Onam in the month of August.
Directed by Abhilash Joshiy, ‘King of Kotha’ holds a special place in Dulquer Salmaan’s heart as a dream project. The teaser has been released in multiple languages, including Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, and Hindi. It showcases Dulquer in a rugged gangster avatar, wielding weapons and engaging in thrilling pursuits. The teaser also offers a sneak peek at the talented ensemble cast, who will be essaying significant roles in this gritty drama.
The film’s teaser promises a complete entertainer with its mass appeal. The cast includes Prasanna as Shahul Hassan, Aishwarya Lekshmi as Tara, Nyla Usha as Manju, and Chemban Vinod Jose as Ranjith. Gokul Suresh will portray the character of Tony, while Shammi Thilakan takes on the role of Ravi. Shanthi Krishna joins the cast as Malathi, and Anikha Surendran appears as Rithu.
It is also expected that actress Rithika Singh is set to do a cameo appearance in the film for a dance number.
Dulquer Salmaan is not only the lead actor but also co-producing the film under his home banner. ‘King of Kotha’ is a joint venture between Wayfarer Films and Zee Studios, adding to the excitement surrounding its release.
