New Delhi: In a significant development, the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) has apprehended a suspected terrorist who is believed to have been operating as an ISI spy, posing a grave threat to national security. The arrested individual has been identified as Kaleem Ahmed, and his arrest has unveiled a web of alleged espionage and subversive activities aimed at promoting Jihad and destabilising the country.

Authorities have revealed that Ahmed’s activities spanned a range of dangerous intentions, including orchestrating communal riots and promoting extremist ideologies. The arrested individual reportedly undertook surveillance of various army units and was involved in leaking sensitive information to terrorist organisations. His alleged activities posed a direct threat to the integrity, unity, and peace of the nation.

The UP Special Task Force’s investigation has exposed alarming details about Ahmed’s activities. It is claimed that he was involved in sharing photos and videos of critical security areas within the country via WhatsApp, subsequently forwarding these materials to a terrorist group. Furthermore, the suspect reportedly visited Pakistan five years ago and held meetings with high-ranking ISI officials. During his interactions, he is believed to have established contacts and obtained funds to facilitate his subversive activities.

Crucial insights were extracted from Ahmed during the course of the interrogation, revealing disturbing intentions to promote Jihad and carry out destructive activities within India. Allegedly, his objectives extended to the conversion of India into an Islamic nation. He is said to have exploited modern communication platforms, using a SIM card obtained with a fake ID to share security-sensitive data and images.

Of particular concern is the assertion that Ahmed aimed to radicalise and recruit youths for Jihad, plotting large-scale attacks on Indian soil. A search of his residence in Meerut reportedly yielded weapons and stockpiles, further indicating the gravity of his intentions.
