BJP Panchayat President and family hacked to death in Tamil Nadu amid drunken altercation

Chennai: Tragedy struck in Tirupur as a group of drunk individuals engaged in reckless activities claimed the lives of four family members, including two women. The brutal murder unfolded when industrialist Senthil Kumar (47) dared to confront the group he discovered drinking on his property in Kallakinar, near Palladam. An argument between Kumar and the assailants erupted after he questioned their drinking, leading to a violent assault. Under the influence of alcohol, the accused attacked Senthil Kumar with a sickle and turned their aggression towards family members who intervened, resulting in the tragic and immediate loss of all four victims, including Mohanraj, Rathinambal, and Pushpavati.

BJP state president K. Annamalai condemned the incident and squarely placed the blame on the Tamil Nadu government. Mohanraj, Senthil Kumar’s brother, currently serves as the Madapuram Panchayat President for the BJP. The shocking news of their brutal murder at the hands of anti-social individuals, stemming from their confrontation regarding drinking in a residential area, left me profoundly saddened. Mohanraj’s family fell victim to the ruthless actions of these anti-socials, prompting him to take to Twitter to pay homage to the deceased.

The DMK government is trying to earn money from the street through liquor sellers. Do you endorse the sale of alcohol in this manner? He also questioned the DMK government, asking how many more civilians must lose their lives. Murders occur daily in Tamil Nadu, and the breakdown of law and order is a growing concern. Stalin’s failures cannot be rectified if the police are constantly held accountable. Law enforcement should be given the autonomy to carry out their duties in order to guarantee public safety. He insisted on taking strict action against the culprits.
