Malappuram: A man surrendered at Vazhikadavu police station in the Malappuram district, claiming that he killed his father-in-law on Tuesday. The accused, Manoj from Vallikad, informed the police that he killed his wife’s father, Prabhakaran, a native of Anadi.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the motive behind this tragic incident was a simmering family dispute. Manoj’s wife and children have been staying with his father-in-law for the last few weeks due to family issues. The murder took place at Prabhakaran’s house yesterday afternoon. Manoj immediately reached the police station after the murder and surrendered.
