New Delhi: Hindi diwas’ is being celebrated with great enthusiasm all over the country, underscoring the significance of our national language. Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his warm wishes to the people of the nation on this auspicious occasion.

India is a multi-lingual country, and Indian states were divided based on languages. Hindi is the national language of India. Since 1953, based on the recommendation of the National Language Promotion Committee, Hindi Diwas has been celebrated every year on September 14th. Hindi is the third most spoken language in the world.
