Kozhikode : The accused assaulted policemen who had arrived to investigate a complaint filed by the wife, alleging harassment by her husband. The incident occurred in Koyilandi, Kozhikode. Three policemen, including an ASI, sustained injuries during the attack. Abdul Rauf, a resident of Chenkotukavu Matakkara Moonukutikal, was promptly arrested.
A police vehicle was also damaged in the assault. ASI Vinod, CPO Gangesh, and Home Guard Suresh sustained injuries, with one policeman being struck on the head. All three injured officers were admitted to the nearby taluk hospital. The accused has been presented in court and remanded.
