Kozhikode: An 11-year-old girl died of a high fever. The deceased, identified as Dilsha, daughter of Nizam, was a resident of Kozhikode Kodiyathur. The child had developed a fever two days ago, raising concerns about a Nipah infection. But the test result was negative.
The girl’s condition had worsened in the last day, and tragically, she passed away on the way to the hospital at seven o’clock in the evening.
According to relatives, the child had initially sought treatment at a private homoeopathy clinic in Karassery. In light of her sudden death, the body has been transferred to Manjeri Government Medical College for a post-mortem.
