Thiruvananthapuram: The Museum police apprehended an individual named Siva, who is a native of Karamana, in connection with a group clash that occurred at Manaveeyam Veedhi, the cultural corridor in the state capital.

The incident took place on Friday night around 2 am at Manaveeyam Veedhi when a young man from Poonthura was assaulted by a group of youths. Footage of the young man being beaten by a group of people, with other young individuals dancing around him, is already circulating on social media. However, the police have noted that no complaint has been received from the Poonthura resident involved in the incident, and the circumstances leading to the conflict are unclear. The police are currently attempting to locate the injured youth and obtain a statement from him.

Manaviyam Veedhi is the first venue in Kerala to introduce the concept of ‘nightlife.’ The police have stated that since the inception of nightlife, there have been both minor and major conflicts.
