Tokyo: Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida voiced his dissatisfaction regarding the recent incident involving Russian and Chinese warplanes crossing near Japan’s coast. Expressing deep concern, Kishida said that although the aircraft did not breach Japanese borders, the act was perceived as an encroachment on the nation’s sovereignty.
Prime Minister Kishida emphasised the swift response of the Japanese military to previous provocations by China. Kishida warned the army of the potential deployment of long-range missiles to address changing border conditions. His remarks underscore the heightened tensions in the region, further worsened by North Korea’s missile and nuclear weapons threats.
