New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has officially filed a charge sheet against four accused in the ISIS Jabalpur module case, exposing a violent conspiracy orchestrated by members of the global terrorist group.
The plot revolves around the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), also known as the Islamic State, attempting to radicalize susceptible Muslim youth. The NIA spokesperson disclosed that the radicalization efforts involved both on-ground ‘Dawah’ programs and various social media platforms.
Having apprehended three suspects—Syed Mamoor Ali, Mohammad Adil Khan, and Mohammad Shahid—in May, the NIA initiated the case under diverse sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. The fourth accused, Kasif Khan, was later captured by the NIA in August. All four have been formally named in the charge sheet, which was submitted in a special court in Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday, according to the spokesperson.
The investigation has uncovered that the accused drew inspiration from the banned terror outfit’s ideology, actively collaborating to target democratic institutions and individuals, including prominent leaders, the official stated.
