Rough seas cause damage to boats in Vizhinjam

Thiruvananthapuram: Two boats were wrecked last night in Vizhinjam Panathura because of rough seas. The boats, which were tied up after a night of fishing, were damaged due to the force of the waves. Two boats were completely destroyed. Approximately 10 other boats, fishing nets, and various fishing equipment were partially damaged. Fishermen reported that there was another strong wave attack this morning. They have emphasised the need for the government’s intervention in finding a solution to the escalating issues.
