Malappuram: A car accident occurred at Tanur, Edakkadappuram, injuring two individuals, including a schoolgirl. The incident took place on Wednesday evening near SMMHSS Rayirimangalam High School (SRHS) on Tanur Unniyal Road in Edakkadappuram.
The accident occurred during the time when students were leaving school, standing alongside the road. A car from Unniyal went out of control and hit a student who was standing by the roadside. Subsequently, it collided with an oncoming scooter as well. CCTV footage capturing the accident has been made available.
The health condition of the injured individuals is reported to be satisfactory. As per police statements, the accident occurred due to the driver losing control of the vehicle. A case will be registered against the driver.
