Lucknow: The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has unveiled plans to convert the Ram Katha Sangrahalaya in Ayodhya into an international museum. The Ram Temple construction committee has set a goal to complete this project within the span of one year.

According to the trust, the museum will showcase artefacts unearthed during the laying of the temple’s foundation stone in August 2020. Additionally, it will exhibit a collection of items related to the epic Ramayana. The construction will be guided by a team of experts who worked on the construction of Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya (the Prime Minister’s Museum) in Delhi.

The Ram Katha Sangrahalaya, established in 2015, is an 18-room, single-storey building constructed on three acres of land at a cost of Rs 12.31 crore. The state government and the trust had signed a memorandum of understanding in October. According to this agreement, the Ram Katha Sangrahalaya’s ownership was transferred from the state government to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.
