Malappuram: A seven-month-old baby died by falling into a well while her mother was attempting to escape from a dog’s attack. The deceased, identified as Haja Mariam, was the daughter of Ariprathodi Samiya and Melatur Kalathumpatian Shihabuddin from Bypass Road.
The incident occurred on Sunday (10.12.2023) around 5:30 am in their backyard. The family says that a dog came to attack Samiya when she came out of the house. When she saw the dog, she ran inside, and the baby slipped out of her hand and fell into the well. Immediately, the police and fire brigade reached the spot and took the baby to the hospital, but they could not save her.
