Kozhikode: Six students from Farook College in Kozhikode were apprehended by the police in connection with the placement of a pro-Hamas poster at a Starbucks coffee shop. The Kozhikode Town Police have registered a case against the students, citing charges that include incitement to riot.
Yesterday, members of the Fraternity unit, in the Farook College, faced legal action for their involvement in displaying the controversial poster at the Starbucks outlet. Both the president and secretary of the Fraternity unit are now in police custody over the incident.
The incident occurred on January 4, when Farook College students allegedly placed a pro-Hamas poster outside a Starbucks coffee shop. Following a complaint lodged by the coffee shop employees, the police initiated legal proceedings against the students involved.
