Ernakulam: The High Court stayed the arrest of Advocate BA Aloor till February 5 in the incident of misbehaving with a young lady. The High Court passed the order after considering the anticipatory bail petition filed by Aloor. The single bench also clarified that until the case is considered, measures including arrest should not be taken. Aloor approached the High Court for anticipatory bail citing conspiracy and personal enmity behind the woman’s complaint.

The incident related to the case took place on January 31st. The woman approached Aloor seeking legal help in connection with a land case. According to the woman’s statement, when she told Aloor that she won’t be able to pay him the fee he asked, he told the woman that she needn’t pay the fee and that it would be enough if she cooperated with him. The woman also mentions in her complaint that Aloor touched her body without her permission while in his office. Police is investigating these allegations based on the complaint filed by the woman.
