Srinagar: Lt. Gen. Raghu Srinivasan has officially assumed the position of the new Chief of the Border Roads Organization, making him the 28th Director General of the organization. Lt. Gen. Rajeev Chowdhury has assumed office following his resignation.
Raghu Srinivasan is a distinguished alumnus of both the National Defense Academy in Khadakwasla and the Indian Military Academy in Dehradun. He served as the Commandant of the College of Military Engineering in Pune. Raghu Srinivasan played a pivotal role in various military operations, including Operation Vijay, Operation Rakshak, and Operation Parakram.
He has served in various challenging regions, including Ladakh, Arunachal Pradesh, and Jammu and Kashmir. He also served as an instructor on the Indian Military Advisory Team in Lusaka, Zambia, as well as at the Defense Services Staff College. His unwavering dedication was instrumental in strengthening the capabilities of the armed forces to safeguard our borders while concurrently fostering socio-economic development. In recognition of his outstanding service, the nation bestowed upon him the Vishishta Seva Medal, a distinguished honor.
