Hyderabad: Adani Defence and Aerospace presented its first indigenously manufactured unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), the Drishti 10 Starliner, for the Indian Navy in a ceremony led by Admiral R Hari Kumar, the Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), Indian Navy.
The flag-off ceremony, attended by Admiral Kumar and 75 Navy personnel, marked the departure of the UAV from Hyderabad to Porbandar, where it will be officially inducted into naval maritime operations.
According to a press release from Adani, the Drishti 10 Starliner is an advanced Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) platform boasting a 36-hour endurance, 450 kg payload capacity, STANAG 4671 certification for all-weather military operations, and the ability to operate in both segregated and unsegregated airspace.
Admiral Hari Kumar commended Adani’s dedication to aligning their roadmap with the Indian Navy’s requirements and establishing a robust ecosystem of partners and capabilities, contributing to self-reliance in defense and security.
