Thiruvananthapuram: As part of 48th Raising Day of Indian Coast Guard (ICG), a bike rally consisting of 25 bikers was flagged off by Commandant Sreekumar G, Station Commander, Coast Guard Station, Vizhinjam. The rally from Vizhinjam to Mumbai was flagged off today (25 Jan 2024) from Coast Guard Station Vizhinjam.
The bike rally which started from Vizhinjam, will be passing through various coastal villages. The team will interact with fisher folks through Special Community Interaction Programme to spread the message of safe and secure coast line for the Indian Coast.
The rally will travel a distance of 1900 kms approx. and will conclude at Coast Guard Regional Headquarters at Worli Village Mumbai on 31 January 2024.
This bike rally is conducted in collaboration with Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) being a partner of ICG. As per reports, the team conducted Special Community Interaction with Fisher folks at Vaadi fishing village, Kollam enroute.
