Thiruvananthapuram: The life story of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, who aimed to liberate Bharat from British slavery, has been brought to the forefront through the film ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’. The film was released yesterday and has garnered immense audience support after its first screenings. Now, box office report of the film is emerging, and reports say that the film has amassed Rs. 1.15 crore on its first day.
The film was directed by debutant Randeep Hooda, who also portrayed Veer Savarkar in the film. Audiences have praised Hooda’s portrayal, and positive feedback has flooded social media platforms after the first screenings.
Amit Sial delivers a compelling performance as Savarkar’s brother, while Ankita Lokhande shines as his wife. Apart from this, the characters of Gandhiji and Dr. B R Ambedkar were brilliantly portrayed, according to the audience.
