Thiruvananthapuram: The highly anticipated shooting for the movie ‘Ramayana’, helmed by director Nitesh Tiwari, has officially kicked off, marking the beginning of a cinematic journey based on the epic tale Ramayana. The shooting commenced with a traditional pooja ceremony, attended by the cast and crew.
Ranbir Kapoor, set to portray the iconic character of Rama, is anticipated to join the team shortly. Sai Pallavi is slated to play the role of Seetha, while Kannada star Yash, renowned for his portrayal in ‘KGF’, will bring Ravana to life on screen.
With a whopping budget of Rs. 500 crore, ‘Ramayana’ is poised to deliver a grand cinematic spectacle, promising audiences an immersive experience like never before. Produced by DNEG Virtual Production, the film aims to captivate viewers across three captivating parts.
As the production progresses, the first part of the film will focus on Rama and Sita. The second part of the film, which depicts Ravana’s arrival, will be shot in Sri Lanka. Ravana is given importance in the second part.
The visual effects for ‘Ramayana’ are will be crafted by DNG Company, recipient of an Oscar in VFX, ensuring a visually stunning portrayal of the epic narrative.
