New Delhi: The 20th edition of the International Indian Film Awards (IIFA) witnessed the top B-Town celebrities.
Alia Bhatt’s ‘Raazi’ was awarded the ‘Best Film’ while the 26-year-old actress, who was critically acclaimed for portraying the role of a spy in the espionage drama, took home the Best Actress IIFA Award. Ranveer Singh was handed the Best Actor IIFA award for his villainous role as Alauddin Khilji in the period piece Padmaavat.
Vicky Kaushal, the national award winner for ‘Uri-The Surgical Strike’, bagged the award in the Best Performance in a Supporting Role (Male) category for ‘Sanju’, while Aditi Rao Hydari for Best Supporting Role (Female) for Padmaavat.
Sriram Raghavan received the Best Director award for ‘Andhadhun’.
Also, some special awards were conferred upon Deepika Padukone for Chennai Express, Ranbir Kapoor for Barfi, Rajkumar Hirani for 3 Idiots, Pritam for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and the film ‘ Kaho Na Pyaar Hai’ also won a special award in the Best Film in the last 20-year category.
