The internationally acclaimed Modern Love series is set to get a third Indian adaptation this month. After the successful runs of Modern Love Mumbai (Hindi) and Modern Love Hyderabad (Telugu), the makers have announced the release date of the Tamil adaptation now.
Similar to the original American anthology series and other Indian adaptations, Modern Love Chennai is also set to be an anthology comprising six different episodes, directed by six different directors focusing on the theme of romantic comedy.
Thiagarajan Kumararaja who is known for his films ‘Aaranya Kaandam’ and ‘Super Deluxe’ is the creator of the series and also written-directed one of the episodes. He said that rom-coms aren’t usually his cup of tea, thus making Modern Love Chennai an interesting challenge for him.
The series features six different directors including Thiagarajan Kumararaja and veteran director Bharathiraja, along with Rajumurugan, Balaji Sakthivel, Akshay Sundher and Krishnakumar Ramakumar.
The series features various music directors such as Ilaiyaraaja, Yuvan Shankar Raja, G V Prakash Kumar and Sean Roland. Numerous well-known actors are set to feature as well.
