The release date of season two of the Tom Hiddleston-starrer Loki was finally announced by Marvel Studios on May 17, 2023. The show is set to start streaming on October 6, 2023, and will continue from where it left off in the first season. The series will be aired on a weekly basis.
The series takes place in a world connected to the Earth-19999 universe, where Loki, aka the God of Mischief, finds himself in trouble with the Time Variance Authority (TVA) after absconding with the Tesseract. The series has Tom Hiddleston as the titular character, with Owen Wilson, Sophia Di Martino, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw in the lead roles.
Along with the announcement of Loki, Marvel also announced another show that is slated to release this year. After the events of the Hawkeye series, a spin-off is taking place following the story of the character Echo.
The series is expected to drop all its episodes on November 29, 2023, making it the first MCU series to stream in binge mode.
The story is expected to be the origin story of Echo, whose ruthless behaviour in NYC catches up with her and how she must now face the consequences. The series is also expected to see the return of actor Charlie Cox as Daredevil before his own show, Daredevil: Born Again comes out.
Both shows are going to be available for screening in India on Disney+ Hotstar.
