Mumbai: Indian actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu took to Instagram on Thursday to reflect on her myositis diagnosis, an autoimmune condition, which marked one year since its discovery. In an emotional post, Samantha shared several pictures and expressed her experiences over the past year. She mentioned the challenges of adapting to a new normal, adhering to dietary restrictions, taking medications, and facing professional setbacks.

Samantha emphasised the significance of seeking meaning, engaging in self-reflection, and finding strength and peace through prayers and introspection. She acknowledged that not everything goes according to plan and that it’s essential to focus on controlling what is within one’s power and moving forward step by step. She stressed the importance of love and not allowing hate to have an impact.

The 36-year-old actor also extended her prayers to those facing even greater battles and expressed her belief that seeking peace, love, joy, and strength is worthwhile. Myositis is a rare group of conditions that can lead to muscle weakness, fatigue, and pain due to the immune system mistakenly attacking healthy tissue.

On the professional front, she is set to appear in the upcoming romantic film ‘Khushi’ alongside Vijay Deverakonda and in the action thriller web series ‘Citadel’ alongside Varun Dhawan.
