Thalapathy Vijay’s fans are eagerly awaiting the release of his highly anticipated film “Leo,” scheduled to hit theatres on October 19. The excitement surrounding the movie reached new heights as Sony Music South unveiled the lyrical video of its first song, “Naa Ready,” on June 22, coinciding with Vijay’s birthday.
The lyrical video showcases Vijay’s captivating dance moves alongside those of other artists. Vijay and Anirudh Ravichander have lent their vocals to this track, which features peppy music composed by Anirudh and lyrics penned by Vishnu Edavan. The rap portion of the song is written and performed by Asal Kolaar.
The video also includes behind-the-scenes footage from the song’s making. The background artists were thrilled to have Vijay join them in the song, and they showed their excitement by waving at the Tamil star, who acknowledged them. Music director Anirudh can also be spotted in the video. Within just 19 hours of its release, the lyrical video has garnered 15 million views and continues to gain traction.
Social media users have expressed their love for the dance number, stating that they have been listening to it on repeat. They praised the combination of Vijay’s vocals and Anirudh Ravichander’s music. Some users also wished Vijay a happy birthday and admired his flawless dancing at the age of 49.
On June 22, Vijay celebrated his 49th birthday, and fans across Tamil Nadu commemorated the occasion by giving gifts to the public. In Coimbatore, fans gifted gold rings to newborn babies as a gesture of celebration. In Madurai, fans showed their appreciation for food delivery partners by gifting them chicken biryani and petrol worth Rs. 220. In Puducherry, some followers even placed a banner in the sea and tied it to poles to mark Vijay’s 49th birthday.
Recently, a fan-made animated teaser of the film “Leo” has garnered significant attention on social media, capturing the admiration of both fans and the ‘Leo’ team. The impressive 3D animated video was created as a birthday tribute by talented graphic designer Maddy Madhav. Notably, even the film’s producers, Lalith Kumar and Jagadish Palanisami of Seven Screen Studios, expressed their appreciation for the video, recognising its quality and creativity.
“Leo” is being produced under the banner of Seven Screen Studio and the Route. The film boasts an exceptional ensemble cast from various industries, including renowned actors such as Sanjay Dutt, Trisha, Arjun Sarja, Gautham Menon, Mysskin, Mathew Thomas, Mansur Ali Khan, Priya Anand, Sandy, Janani, Abhirami Venkatachalam, and Babu Antony.
