Vinay Forrt responded to the prevalent issue of cyberbullying faced by social media celebrities and superstars. He specifically addressed the body shaming that Mohanlal has encountered and emphasised that such negativity on social media doesn’t affect him. His dedication lies in Malayalam cinema, where he aspires to excel as an actor, inspired by the legacy of Mohanlal. His response was during an interview conducted as a part of promoting his new film, “Ramachandra Bose and Co.”
Vinay Forrt expressed the following sentiments:
His earliest movie memory was “Rajavinte Makan,” and he hailed Mohanlal as the greatest actor India has ever seen. He found it hard to believe that anyone could deny the handsomeness of Mohanlal, who inspires a significant portion of the population. He became a superstar at the age of 26. An actor who has done amazing films like no other actor before the age of 30 In his early 30s, Mohanlal used to appear as if he were in his 40s or 45s. No one looked at his body or beauty. “That’s the essence of an actor. That’s what Malayalam cinema represents to me,” Vinay Fort expresses.
He continued by stating that he remains unfazed by body shaming on social media, as his focus remains on his career in Malayalam cinema. Vinay Fort acknowledged that Mohanlal’s success wasn’t solely due to looks, and he admired the variety of roles Mohanlal embraced in his youth. Vinay Fort saw the audience as a reflection of the Malayali community’s appreciation for genuine talent. What right do I possess to engage in body shaming? Mutual respect should be there. “The fake and sadistic trend by anonymous individuals on social media needs to come to an end,” added Vinay Fort.
