South Indian actress Nayanthara, who made her Bollywood debut as Shah Rukh Khan’s love interest in the film ‘Jawan,’ is reportedly feeling disheartened about the handling of her role in the movie. Despite ‘Jawan’ achieving remarkable success and joining the coveted Rs 900 crore club worldwide within just 13 days of its release, Nayanthara appears to be dissatisfied with her experience in Hindi cinema.
According to a report in Hindustan Times , the talented actress-producer has currently expressed a lack of interest in pursuing further Bollywood projects. It is suggested that Nayanthara voiced her frustration regarding her role in ‘Jawan,’ feeling that it was significantly diminished in comparison to the prominence given to Deepika Padukone’s character. This disappointment may be influencing her decision to temporarily distance herself from the Bollywood films.
The report further pointed out Nayanthara’s absence from promotional events related to ‘Jawan.’ However, it’s worth noting that her non-participation in film promotions is a well-known clause present in all her film contracts. Her decision to abstain from promotional activities is part of her established professional approach.
Meanwhile, ‘Jawan’ continues to make waves at the global box office, collecting an astonishing Rs 900 crore within less than two weeks since its release, with an impressive Rs 500 crore earned solely in India. The film’s Hindi version is steadily on its way to becoming the highest-grossing Hindi film ever, a significant milestone expected to be achieved in the upcoming week.
