Thiruvananthapuram: Renowned Malayalam actor Sreenivasan continues to capture the hearts of audiences with his unforgettable performances, leaving an indelible mark in the Malayalam film industry. Revered for his versatility in portraying diverse characters that evoke laughter and contemplation, Sreenivasan’s films have consistently resonated with Malayalees, earning him enduring admiration.
Vineeth Sreenivasan, Sreenivasan’s son, recently shared insights into his father’s approach to his craft. Vineeth revealed that, unlike many actors, Sreenivasan never brought his work home and was never seen studying or memorising dialogues in the comfort of their residence. The first instance Vineeth observed his father meticulously learning dialogue was for the film “Kurukkan.”
In an era when actors relied on their ability to memorise lines just by glancing at a script, Sreenivasan stood among the experienced actors of that time. Vineeth expressed his admiration for the actors, who possessed such remarkable skills.
Vineeth further shared a touching glimpse into his father’s dedication, recounting moments when, even after surgeries and medical procedures, he would wake up to hear his father rehearsing dialogues aloud. Despite the challenges that come with ageing, Sreenivasan’s commitment to his craft remains unwavering.
Even today, the joy of witnessing his father effortlessly deliver dialogues in a single take, earning applause from those around him, fills Vineeth with pride. Yet, behind the applause, Vineeth recognises the unseen struggles his father endures, making the applause a testament to Sreenivasan’s resilience and passion for the art of cinema.
