Chennai: Actor Mansoor Ali Khan has said apology for making controversial remarks at actress Trisha. He apologised during his appearance for questioning at the ALL Women’s Police Station yesterday, in Thousand Lights, Chennai.
The incident unfolded after the actor gave an interview to Tamil media channels discussing his collaboration with Trisha in Vijay’s film ‘Leo.’ During the interview, Mansoor Ali Khan made a controversial comment, stating that upon learning Trisha was the heroine in “Leo” movie, he was expecting a bedroom scene. The actor initially defended his statement, claiming it was not inappropriate.
The controversial remarks triggered a response from Trisha herself, who took a stand against the actor’s comments. Subsequently, widespread criticism erupted against Mansoor Ali Khan, and the National Commission for Women voluntarily registered a case against him.
In light of the backlash and the formal complaint filed, Mansoor Ali Khan appeared before the All Women’s Police Station to address the issue. During his statement to the police, the actor acknowledged his mistake and issued an apology to Trisha.
