Thiruvananthapuram: Fans who enjoyed the hit film “Amar Akbar Anthony,” which was released in 2015, are in for a delightful surprise as the sequel to the movie has been announced. Vishnu Unnikrishnan, who wrote the screenplay for the film alongside Bibin George, disclosed this thrilling news during the promotion of his latest movie, “Dance Party,” in which he takes the lead role.
The film, featuring Indrajith , Prithviraj and Jayasurya in the lead roles with Namitha Pramod as the heroine, gained widespread acclaim for its humorous narrative when it hit screens in 2015.
Vishnu Unnikrishnan expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming project, stating, “We are planning a sequel to Amar Akbar Anthony. We will let you know when things go well.” He further shared that he is currently in the process of writing the script for the sequel under the direction of Shafi, sir”.
