Thiruvananthapuram: Mohanlal, the renowned actor in the Indian film industry, recently shared insights into his approach to portraying characters in movies during an interview conducted as part of the promotion of his upcoming film “Neru.” The acclaimed actor discussed his journey in the film industry and the unexpected success of some of his notable works.
In the interview, Mohanlal shared a story from the time he was making “Drishyam,” a movie that turned out to be a big hit. He admitted that he had no idea it would become so successful. Even though he wasn’t sure about its success, he kept working without breaks and enjoyed the chance to work with talented people in the industry.
Mohanlal shared that, when he acts, he wants the character he plays to be the main focus, overshadowing his own self. He described this process as being so intense that, in a way, “Mohanlal disappears, and you should only see the character.”
Looking back at the beginning of his film career, Mohanlal admitted that when he started, he never imagined having such a long and successful career. He pointed out that, initially, he didn’t see the film industry as a long-term commitment. “I never thought of making a career in films. But it happened,” he said.
