Thiruvananthapuram: The highly anticipated film “Neru” has hit theatres, marking the much-awaited return of legendary actor Mohanlal, and fans are celebrating the occasion. The collaboration between Mohanlal and director Jeethu Joseph has elevated the excitement surrounding the movie, and the positive response from the audience is pouring in just two days after its release.
Actor Siddique, reflecting on the success of “Neru,” shared insights into the challenges faced during the filmmaking process. He expressed the inherent tension from the initial stages of film production until it reaches the audience, emphasising the anxiety about how the audience would perceive the film.
Siddique revealed the meticulous thought process behind the scenes, where considerations about audience reception played a pivotal role. He recounted a conversation with Jeethu Joseph, the director, saying that he was aware of about his character just two days before the commencement of production. Having previously collaborated with Jeethu in the acclaimed movie “Drishyam,” Siddique spoke highly of the director’s ability to deliver successful projects.
Currently, Jeethu Joseph is engaged in the shooting of another project titled “Nunakuzhi,” and Siddique expressed the unique connection that develops with directors through continuous collaboration. Comparing actors to white paper, Siddique emphasised their adaptability to portray diverse characters given by directors. He concluded by stating that no role in a movie is inherently bad; it merely transforms based on the character and its nuances.
