Thiruvananthapuram: In the midst of anticipation for the release of the movie “Kallanmarude Veedu,” director Hussain Aroni, who directed the film featuring Bijukuttan, has voiced his grievances. Aroni alleges that Bijukuttan, despite receiving advance payment for his role, is refusing to participate in promotional activities for the movie.
Expressing his frustration, the director highlighted the challenges faced in organising promotional events, particularly with the absence of key stars, including Bijukuttan. Aroni revealed that despite informing the casts about the promotional events well in advance, none of them, including senior artists, have shown their interest in promotional activities.
“Bijukuttan plays the central character in my film, and 32 stars, including senior artists, have contributed to the project. However, their lack of cooperation in promotional events is affecting the film’s visibility,” Aroni stated.
He continued, “Despite being scheduled to release tomorrow, “Kallanmarude Veedu” has not undergone any promotional events. Securing funds for the film proved to be a challenging task. The theatre owners are also questioning the film’s marketing strategy. Aroni expressed worry that the absence of support from prominent actors could deter new directors from entering the industry.
