Thiruvananthapuram: The recently released film ’12th Fail,’ directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and featuring Bollywood star Vikrant Massey, has garnered significant attention from audiences. The movie, based on Anurag Pathak’s novel, delves into the lives and struggles of UPSC students, earning praise from various quarters.
One notable commendation comes from Anand Mahindra, Chairman of Mahindra Group, who took to social media to express his appreciation for the film. In a post on ‘X’, Mahindra congratulated the film’s crew and recommended it as a must-watch film.
“Finally, I watched ’12th Fail’ last week. If you only watch one movie this year, it should be ’12th Fail’. Because this movie is based on real life,” noted Anand Mahindra.
Mahindra praised the director, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, for the exceptional casting and highlighted the outstanding performance of Vikrant Massey, suggesting that it deserves a National Award. He emphasised Massey’s portrayal of the character, stating that it felt authentic and alive.
Vidhu Chopra’s efforts in bringing the film to the audience were also acknowledged by Anand Mahindra. He particularly appreciated a scene in the movie ,which show an interview , describing it as the most liked, as it showcased what Bharat needs to do to build a new future.
