Thiruvananthapuram: Actor Hareesh Peradi has praised director Lijo Jose Pellissery, stating that Lijo is someone who is deeply immersed in the world of cinema. During an interview related to Lijo’s new film, “Malaikottai Vaaliban,” Hareesh Peradi shared insights into working with the director.

According to Hareesh Peradi, Lijo is a director who lives and breathes cinema. He highlighted Lijo’s dedicated approach, mentioning that even when Lijo arrives at the shooting location, he focuses solely on the task at hand and rushes to the set only when his shot is ready. Harish expressed admiration for working with someone so committed to the craft.

Stating about his meeting with Lijo, Hareesh Peradi stated that “my first meeting with Lijo took place at Cherai Resort after receiving a call for a role in the film. On the initial day of shooting my scenes, Rafiq arrived ahead of time, followed by my entrance onto the set. Lijo joined us subsequently. Upon stepping out of the car and closing the car door, he engaged in conversation with me from a distance, and several lines had already been exchanged until he was settled in a chair.

He continued, “and even during filming, Hareesh Peradi noted that Lijo remained deeply involved in the creative process. Despite attempts to exchange pleasantries in the initial days, Lijo was often preoccupied, only focusing on discussions about the film and its characters after the shooting sessions.”

In conclusion, he remarked that our only informal discussions occurred after wrapping up the movie. Despite our conversations, the focus remained on the film’s characters and how they contributed to the overall narrative.

Hareesh Peradi lauded Lijo Jose Pellissery’s unwavering dedication to cinema and expressed his appreciation for being a part of a project with such a passionate director. As Lijo’s new film, “Malaikottai Vaaliban,” unfolds, audiences can anticipate a unique cinematic experience driven by the director’s immersive approach to storytelling.
