Thiruvananthapuram: Renowned filmmaker Lijo Jose Pellissery has unveiled a Behind the Scenes (BTS) video offering a glimpse into the making of his latest film, ‘Malaikottai Vaaliban,’ which recently screened in theaters. The making video showcases Lijo’s directorial expertise as he guides his team, providing instructions to actors, cameramen, and technicians, and emphasising the significance of body language and eye contact in pivotal scenes.
The BTS footage highlights the considerable time and effort invested in making the film, which has received mixed reviews since its release on January 25.
Commenting on the BTS video, viewers lauded the filmmaking style and dedication of the creators. Danish Sait, who portrayed the antagonist in the movie, likened the on-set experience to studying in a ‘film school.’
The making video of ‘Malaikottai Vaaliban’ has shown the intricate process of shooting a Malayalam movie on Rajasthani soil. The video, presented by Lijo Jose Pellissery, reveals the meticulous filming of fight scenes and captures the essence of day and night sequences in the desert, all under the artistic direction of Lijo Jose Pellissery.
Despite the fact that the film introduces unseen perspectives to Malayalam cinema with its expansive canvas, frames, background music, and overall craftsmanship, the collaboration between Mohanlal and Lijo has defied criticism and hate campaigns. Mohanlal’s portrayal of Vaaliban has also garnered praise for his acting prowess.
The film features a stellar cast, including Sonali Kulkarni, Hareesh Peradi, Danish Saith, Manoj Moses, Katha Nandi, and Manikandan Achari. The screenplay is credited to PS Rafique, and the film is produced by John and Mary Creatives, Century Films, Max Lab, and Saregama India Limited.
