Thiruvananthapuram: ‘Barroz’ marks a significant milestone in the illustrious career of actor Mohanlal as it serves as his directorial debut. Mohanlal will also portray the lead role in the film, adding to the anticipation surrounding its release. Sharing updates with his followers on social media, Mohanlal revealed that Mark Killian and Jonathan Miller are adding final touches to the film’s music and voice. With post-production currently underway, the film is expected to hit theatres on March 28.
Mohanlal shared a snapshot with the crew and with Mark Kilian and Jonathan Miller for the fine-tuning of music and sound, highlighting the collaborative efforts behind the project. The film was initially announced by the actor himself in 2019, but the film’s works was postponed due to various reasons.
In ‘Barroz,’ Mohanlal portrays the role of a ghost character, named ‘Barroz’, entrusted with safeguarding Vasco da Gama’s treasure. The film was shot in Kochi and Goa, with plans for release in approximately 20 languages, including Portuguese and Chinese. The film ‘Barroz’ is also said to be the dream project of the actor.
Scripted by Jijo Punnoose, director of Bharat’s first 3D film, ‘My Dear Kuttichathan,’ ‘Barroz’ is produced by Anthony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas. As anticipation builds for its release, fans eagerly await the unveiling of Mohanlal’s directorial prowess in this ambitious cinematic venture.
