Thiruvananthapuram: The eagerly anticipated South Indian film ‘Vaadivaasal,’ starring Suriya and directed by Vetrimaaran, has garnered significant attention since the release of its announcement video months ago. However, recent reports suggest a change in the cast, with news circulating that Suriya has withdrawn from the project.
It is rumoured that Dhanush will step in to replace Suriya to do the leading character, although there has been no official confirmation regarding this development.
Initially, the crew indicated that the shooting for ‘Vaadivaasal’ would start after the completion of the first part of the film ‘Viduthalai.’ However, subsequent updates regarding the filming schedule of ‘Vaadivaasal’ have not been provided even after the release of Viduthalai Part 1.
Currently, director Vetrimaaran is working on filming the second part of ‘Viduthalai.’ He had previously stated that once the filming for this project is wrapped up, his next venture would be ‘Vaadivaasal.’ The film also features director Amir in a prominent role.
