Thiruvananthapuram: Director Priyadarshan has expressed his admiration for the movie ‘Premalu’ featuring Naslen. Praising the film for being realistic with different humour, Priyadarshan stated that he enjoyed the freshness it brought to the screen.
Speaking to the media after watching the movie, Priyadarshan described it as “superb entertainment” with a youthful vibe. He also expressed his appreciation for Naslen’s performance, stating that this is what entertainment is all about. Encouraging the emergence of new talents, Priyadarshan remarked, “Let new people make good films. I will meet Naslen and wish him good luck.”.
He also mentioned that he will refrain from making similar films in future, allowing new talent to explore the industry, and he will watch their films.
‘Premalu’ was released in theatres last week, and it continues to perform well on big screens. The film is directed by Girish AD and starring Naslen, Mamita Baiju, and Shyam Mohan in lead roles. The film tells a love story set in Hyderabad.
According to reports, the film ‘Premalu’ has amassed approximately Rs. 5 crore from the Kerala Box Office (KBO) alone. This achievement marks the sixth consecutive hit for Naslin since the post-COVID period. Naslin’s films released during this period include ‘Home’, ‘Journey of Love 18+’, ‘Super Sharanya’, ‘Jo and Jo’, and ‘Neymar’.
