Director Vikas Bahl confirms sequel for film ‘Queen’ starring Kangana Ranaut

Mumbai: One of Bollywood’s notable films, ‘Queen,’ starring Kangana Ranaut, continues to hold a special place in the hearts of many fans since its release in 2013. Exciting news about the sequel to this beloved movie has emerged, confirming the return of director Vikas Bahl and the crew for the sequel.

During a promotional event for Vikas Bahl’s latest film, ‘Shaitaan ,’ the director provided an update on the highly anticipated sequel. Reflecting on the enduring popularity of ‘Queen’ even a decade after its release, Vikas expressed gratitude for the ongoing love and support from fans, which inspired him to consider a sequel for the film.

Vikas emphasised the importance of maintaining the high standards set by the original film and ensuring that the sequel lives up to expectations. He revealed that after much deliberation, the script work for the second part of ‘Queen’ has been completed.

In the interview, he said that he was very happy to inform the fans that the script of ‘Queen’ Part 2 has been completed. He said that actress Kangana would soon come forward as Rani. He also mentioned that previous financial challenges have been overcome, clearing the path for the sequel to move forward.

‘Queen’ revolves around a girl named Rani who embarks on a solo honeymoon trip to France after her marriage falls apart. Actor Rajkumar Rao also played a pivotal role in the film.

Meanwhile, director Vikas Bahl is preparing for the release of his latest film ‘Shaitaan’ starring R Madhavan, Ajay Devgn, and Jyotika in prominent roles. The movie is set to hit theaters on March 8, 2024.
