The official trailer of Om Raut directed ‘Adipurush’, which is set to be the retelling of the epic Ramayana finally dropped on YouTube today. The trailer is filled with animation and VFX oriented characters and a world made around it.

The film stars, Prabhas donning the character of Lord Rama with Kriti Sanon playing as Sita and Saif Ali Khan will be essaying the role of Raavan in it.

A teaser of the film that was released last year on 2nd of October, suffered backlash and criticism from the viewers because of the lackluster quality. The VFX and the choppy animation of the environment and mythical creatures portrayed in it made it the talk of the town and a source for numerous memes.

The criticisms and hurtful remarks seem to have brought in a vibrant change in the making of the trailer. The trailer which ran for about three and a half minutes was a total visual upgrade from what we saw in the teaser earlier, showing a lot more footage on what to expect from the film as well.

The film is produced by T-Series in association with Retrophiles, is simultaneously shot in Hindi and Telugu. It is produced with a budget of ₹700 crores, making it the most expensive film to be made in India.

The film will feature music from the duo Ajay-Atul with Karthik Palani handling the camera.

The film is set to premiere at the Tribeca Festival in Europe on 13th of June, and will officially release in theatres on June 16, 2023.
