Director Puri Jagannadh who is currently getting over his disaster flick, Liger has announced his new movie, collaborating with Telugu star Ram Pothineni. The announcement came through a press release and a post on social media by the makers themselves.

The film titled ‘Double iSmart’ is expected to release on March 8, 2024, coinciding with Maha Shivratri. It is a sequel to the actor-director duo’s previous collaboration, “iSmart Shanker” which released in 2019.

The movie is set to be produced by Jagannadh and Charmee Kaur. Puri himself has penned the screenplay.

The prequel film was a sci-fi masala flick about a street smart assassin who gets a memory transfer from a dead CBI officer’s brain, and how he helps the police with it.

Ram Pothineni’s last acting venture was the action film “The Warriorr” directed by N Lingusamy which was also a commercial failure.
