One of the most anticipated films of the year 2023 was the Telugu film called Agent. The film which had Akhil Akkineni in the lead role and co-starring with Mammootty was met with poor audience reception and ultimately tanked at the box-office.
The film which was made on a budget of ₹70 crores only managed to collect ₹13 crores. In connection to this, Akhil shared an open letter to his fans and audience and vowed to return stronger. He said that the film didn’t translate well with the audience and that they couldn’t deliver a good film, despite working hard on it.

The actor also expressed his gratitude towards his producer Anil Sunkara and distributors for supporting him and believing in their film.
Earlier the producer of Agent, Anil Sunkara also shared a note taking full responsibility for the failure of the film.
We have to take the entire blame for #Agent. Though we know its an uphill task, we thought of conquering but failed to do so as we did a blunder starting the project without a bound script & innumerable issues including covid followed. We don't want to give any excuses but learn…
